An Explosion of Color at Airlie Gardens
With family in town and Spring in the air, the only destination on my list this Easter weekend was Airlie Gardens. On Good Friday, the sun shone brightly. Watching the weather, we knew this would be our one day to be outside. We headed out early and timed our visit just right. We virtually had the whole place all to ourselves.
As the Azalea Festival approaches the crowds will swell. I’m telling you right now, so you’ve been fairly warned, go NOW! The garden was just shy of peaking, yet still so beautiful and full of color. The azalea blossoms were ready to explode. Rows of tulips saturated the landscape. Take your opportunity to go before the masses visit during the festival. You will be so happy you did.
